$8500 to stock up wholesale on salted fish, which will strengthen her initial capital.
Noella is a client with the microfinance institution Hekima and represents the village group Lwikiriza. She is 47 years old, widowed and has five children who are all students.
She established her business selling salted fish 2 years ago using start-up funds she obtained from her rental income. Later she got involved with the Hekima program to support her business, which has been developing progressively. With this new loan, she will stock up wholesale on salted fish, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge of her business is linked to bureaucratic hassle.
She would like her children to continue their studies and wants to develop her business. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support shown to business owners without access to traditional banking facilities in the context of the global crisis caused by covid-19.
The photo shows only the group representative because of covid-19 restrictions in compliance with social distancing measures.
