Precious, Patricia from Zimbabwe

$1400 to buy sewing material and repair her heavy duty machine.

Patricia, aged 43, is in the poultry business. She started off with a loan of $300 from her husband and a Thrive loan of $35. She managed to grow her client base and has been consistently supplying them with quality chickens. Because she is running the business in her back yard, her children help with rearing the chickens and her sister also helps deliver orders to her work place. Due to increased demand for her chickens locally and in the outskirts of Harare, Patricia and her friend Precious decided to come to Thrive and formed their group which they named Juru Stars and they were given training and a loan. They also sell kapenta (small, dried fish) and soya chunks. Precious used her portion of the loan to buy sewing material and repair her heavy duty machine. Their hope is to see their children attaining proper education, health and clothing.
