$750 to gain access to cost-efficient hybrid seeds and fertilizer for maize cultivation.
Blaseda, pictured above, has been a farmer for more than 20 years, and is now proud to represent her group of eight farmers in Kilolo South District. She is 52 years old, married and has four children.
Blaseda likes to think of herself as a very friendly person. She has been working alongside One Acre Fund since 2015 and decided to represent her group because she likes being a leader. She says that being part of the One Acre Fund community means she will earn more profit from each harvest. Blaseda plans to use the profits from this coming season to send her children to school.
Blaseda’s Group will receive inputs to cultivate 7 acres of land, and some members of the group will also be purchasing a solar light with this loan.
