This tab configures parameters for a method of detection that consists of monitoring the data exchanges between the browser and the server.

Force detection about size (KB)
Often, a web server does not provide any information that allow to determine that a particular document is a video. However, if the document is big enough, we can consider that it is certainly a media. This parameter sets the threshold size, in kilo-bytes, from which it is detected by DownloadHelper.
Ignore media below size (KB)
Sometimes, DownloadHelper mistakenly detects a document as a media. This parameter sets a filter to ignore documents below a given size (in kile-bytes). This reduces the number of false hits.
File extensions on requests
One of the criteria for DownloadHelper to determine if a document is a media, consists of examining the address requested by the browser. If it ends with .flv for instance, there are good chances that it is a video clip. You can setup the list of extensions that should be detected by DownloadHelper.
