Starting with Video DownloadHelper version 4.1 as a beta and version 4.2 as a full feature, it is now possible to send the media you are watching or listening to either your mobile phone, using it as an MP3 player, or to a private place on the web called locker, so you can play your videos or music everywhere.
The easiest way to have an idea of those services is to have a look at those demonstration videos:

Setting up the service
Using MP3tunes service requires you have a MP3tunes account. You can create this account easily for free from within the extension preference. See this page for the configuration description.
Invoking the service
When on YouTube, if you have the in-page widget enabled, the easiest way if to choose the Send to mobile or Send to locker service in the menu. On other sites, hold the CTRL, SHIFT and ALT or META key when clicking on the entry in the download menu. This opens a dialog with all available services for this media. Note that you can easily configure quick keys to invoke the service directly.
Audio or video ?
Both Send to mobile and Send to locker services allow you to upload either the audio track or the full video. You will be prompted for the choice and have the capability to retain the decision for the next uploads. If you are interested in audio only, you will be able to use the DownloadHelper embedded free converter to extract the audio from the media directly on your computer. The transcoding operation will be performed in background without user intervention. You may also want to upload the media directly without extraction for the price of more bandwidth and delay. If you use MP3tunes services regularly, you should setup the embedded conversion.
You can use the MP3tunes services for free but you will be limited to 3 uploads a day as the service has a cost for the storage and bandwidth, and the sending of the SMS. You can easily upgrade to a premium account to remove this limitation.
