The Nassinkar solidarity group has been in existence since the Nema2 Banc Villageois was set up. It is made up of six women who are also members of the banc. When the banc was formed, they organized the group to strengthen their cooperation and their friendship.

Mme Marie Pierre Mbinky, at extreme right in the photo, leads the group. She is 50. She is married, has eight children of her own and cares for three others.

She has had nine loans from CAURIE Microfinance. She runs a small business in vegetables, buying carrots, cabbages, turnips and so on. With this loan she will build her inventory by buying more vegetables, and she hopes for increased profits to enable her to better meet her family's needs as far as food, health care, clothing and school fees are concerned.
